@WhoGotVectored Select your entire factory and copy it. How many blueprint shapes it costs to paste the blueprint is the cost of the factory.
A great start! Can anyone beat it?
I think I know how to do it, but I accidentally deleted my savegame and I just started a new one. It'll be a while before I can show you the answer.
Whose factory costs the most?
Ye!
First!
Banana
That's the trick: I input things on the belt layer and it appears on the display.
Let me recite: My Everything Machine doesn't know when to turn off the final filters because I don't know how to make wires know when to turn off the final filters.
My Everything Machine doesn't know when to turn off the final filters because *I* don't know when to turn off the final filters either.
I have to know: how can wires find out when a level was just completed?
I made a mistake.
I said 1.9779801978×10^24 was "somewhere in between" 1.748908916*10^27 and 2.0815864389*10^385, but 1.9779801978×10^24 is LESS than both other numbers!
I'm sorry.
Shapes go through storages faster than on belts.

Quite the description, @Quantum sword. By the way, do you have any trees?
It outputs the given signal from the wires layer onto the regular layer. For example if you give it a blueprint shape signal, it will produce blueprint shapes. It can also produce unobtainable shapes like Cu------:----Cu--, uncolored paint, and even booleans (0 and 1)!
I have a solution!
Find CuRuCuSu in the wilds. Cut in half. Rotate left half counter-clockwise and cut again. Discard star piece, rotate circle piece CCW, and stack with the right half of original shape. Paint purple.
Find SuSuSuSu in the wilds. Paint white.
Stack SwSwSwSw on top of CpRpCp--.
Deliver to the Hub.
Here's a link to a shape generator where you can see what the shapes I mentioned are.
I got it. The reader at the bottom reads 3.6 items/s. Maybe that's why.
